Timing is Everything

When to shoot in Prospect Park.

The park transforms throughout the day. We'll time your session for the best light and fewest crowds.

Sunrise (6-8am)

Long Meadow is empty and misty. Magical light, total privacy.

Morning (8-10am)

Dog walkers and joggers, but plenty of quiet spots. Great natural light.

Midday (11am-3pm)

Shaded spots like the Ravine work well. Avoid open meadow—harsh shadows.

Golden Hour

Long Meadow glows. The Boathouse catches gorgeous warm light on the water.

Blue Hour (after sunset)

Moody, romantic. Grand Army Plaza arch looks incredible lit up.

Common questions.

Is Prospect Park less crowded than Central Park?

Generally yes, especially on weekdays. The park is large enough that even on busy days, we can find quiet spots—the Ravine, Lullwater, and the south end are rarely crowded.

How do I get there?

Grand Army Plaza station (2/3) drops you at the main entrance. Prospect Park station (B/Q/S) is near the Boathouse. We'll coordinate the best meeting point based on your session plan.

Is the cherry blossom season really that good?

It's spectacular. Late April through early May, the Cherry Esplanade is one of the most beautiful spots in NYC. Book early—these sessions fill up fast.

Can you do proposals here?

Prospect Park is one of our favorite proposal locations. Lullwater Bridge is intimate and romantic—perfect for a surprise. We'll coordinate everything discreetly.
