Navigate the Chaos
We know where to stand.
Times Square is overwhelming. We know the exact spots that photograph best, when to hit them, and how to work with (not against) the crowds.
The Red Steps (TKTS Booth)
Glass red steps above the TKTS booth. Elevated view of the crowds and billboards below.
The Crossroads (45th & Broadway)
The heart of it all. Maximum billboard density, maximum NYC energy.
Duffy Square
George M. Cohan statue area. Slightly less chaotic, great billboard backdrop.
7th Avenue Looking South
Classic Times Square view with One Times Square in frame. The postcard shot.
Broadway Theater Row
Marquee lights, classic NYC theater vibes. Less touristy, more artistic.
45th Street Cross
The pedestrian plaza area. Wide open, good for movement and dance shots.

Common questions.
Won't there be tons of people in my photos?
Yes—and that's often part of the appeal! The crowd energy is Times Square. That said, we know techniques to isolate you: tight framing, creative angles, strategic positioning, and choosing moments when crowds naturally thin.
What's the best time for Times Square photos?
For that classic neon look: 30 min after sunset when billboards are bright but there's still color in the sky. For fewer crowds: early morning (7-8am) or late night (11pm+). The Day to Night package captures the transition.
Is Times Square safe at night?
Times Square is one of the most heavily policed areas in NYC and is extremely safe, even late at night. It's busy with tourists and theatergoers until well after midnight.
Do I need a permit?
For small, handheld photo sessions, no permit is required. Commercial shoots with equipment need permits—we can help arrange if needed.
Can you shoot New Year's Eve in Times Square?
The area is locked down for the ball drop, but we offer special sessions earlier on NYE day and late-night sessions after the crowds clear. Contact us for holiday pricing.
