Live performance sessions
A staged live session brings performance, camera coverage and sound into one production plan. Start with the songs, performers and room, then decide whether the project uses existing audio or a newly recorded live performance.
Plan your music project →Custom scope and quote. Scope, relevant crew experience, availability, usage and delivery are confirmed before booking. A project inquiry does not reserve a date.
The deliverables
Make the handoff clear.
- — A scoped number of songs and final performance edits
- — Agreed camera coverage, framing and optional social extracts
- — Explicit responsibilities for sound capture, mixing and final synchronization
Before the shoot
- 01Share song lengths, instruments, amplification and setup requirements. Soundcheck and repeated takes need time in the schedule.
- 02Discuss the room's noise, acoustics, power and working space. A visually appealing room is not automatically suitable for live recording.
- 03Review relevant crew examples and agree who supplies audio equipment and who approves the mix before booking.
Know what you are commissioning.
Live audio engineering and mixing are specialist services requiring confirmation. A session film is not a promise of a recording-studio package or an audio master ready for distribution.
Request relevant work from the proposed photographer or production team. Availability, permissions, promotional usage, studio costs and delivery are agreed in writing. No deposit is needed to send a brief.
